How Quickly

How quickly time passes
And babies become children
Who morf into teens

Young men (and women)
Who venture into the world
To test their wings, and leave their mark

Our youngest son flies off to college today. It seems like only yesterday when he and this dog (Wee Bonnie Lassie) were young. Now he’s an “adult” and Bonnie’s puppies are nearing twelve years old!

Has it really been two years since he graduated from high school? Years don’t pass that quickly, do they?

  1. Congrats to all of you!!

  2. Oh what an exciting new adventure for him. Blessings on him and your empty nest…is it empty?

  3. I remember well how we felt last year when we packed up the car, drove what seemed like so very far from home and left our youngest at college in So. Cal. The worries, the pride, the I’m loosing my little boy feeling, the lump in the throat that wouldn’t go away. Daniel will grow and mature in ways that surprise you in the next year but when it comes down to it, he will always be your precious boy.

Congrats to you all and Daniel, study hard and enjoy the adventure.

  4. Awesome! That is the same tree he’s standing in front of isn’t it?!!! That tree has grown quite a bit as well!

Congratulations to you and your family! That’s really exciting!

  5. Best wishes to him and you on your new adventures!

  6. All three of our girls are grown and gone. Two are still in the state, and one in Alaska. Seems like just yesterday…
