Quicky Post

Monday we drove from PA back to DC and boarded an airplane bound for Scotland via England. We decided to fly with British Airways this time. Perhpas as you peek at our dinner tray you will understand part of the reason why we made this choice.

We arrived in Edinburgh too early in the day to gain access to our hotel room, so we were forced to head straight out to begin sight-seeing. A nice pub lunch helped to revive us and pass some time. I foolishly asked Hubby Dearest to get me an iced tea with my Bangers and mash. This is what I was served…

(the ice was in the pot, along with a teabag)

We were pretty tired, as we had not slept in over 24 hours, so our only real stop for the day was to St. John’s Church. When we finally did gain access to our room, I was amused and pleased to discover it was decorated with a theme designed to make me most happy…

Today, well-rested after a good night’s sleep in my “book room” we hiked up to the City Center, purchased a pair of tickets for the Edinburgh Bus Tours, and hopped aboard the first red double-decker to pull up to the curb. Our destination? Edinburgh Castle.

Hey – it’s good time to be gone, the road in front of your house has been torn up for a few days now – lost of machines and men! Hopefully it’s all done before your return!

    • Oh dear! How inconvenient for Daniel and Jacqueline.Probably more to do with those stupid water meters.

  7. Sounds like you’re having a great time. Although BA has left my bags in Heathrow twice… I love flying with them. They’ve got good food, pleasant attendants, and deliver my bag the next day.
