The Itchies

And the stinkies. That’s what my little ggrls have been dealing with lately, which means that’s what I’ve been dealing with lately!

Every spring for the last several years, the dogs get itchy. Misty, in particular, gets very itchy, and even gets “hot spots” on her back. She drives everyone crazy with her constant chewing, scratching, and rubbing. Rubbing herself against the couch, under the couch, and under the wooden bench….arrrggghhh.

The constant chewing also causes her to, um…..in a word, stink. For the record, although Sasha isn’t as bad, she’s been stinky too. Sigh.

The cry went out, “Lisa the Groomer, please save us from itchy, stinky dogs!!!”

That’s when I learned about Earthbath products.

I’m very pleased that ingredients in these products are all natural and won’t do any harm, even if they prove to be less than totally effective. I’ts really too soon to say how well the Hot Spot and Itch Reliever is working, since we only used it on Misty yesterday. I can say that the Mango Deodorizing Spritz worked well on “freshening” Sasha.

Sasha has been feeling a little lost lately….one of her favorite pack members has left her, again. She has been very needy since Jeremy left for his usual ‘summer at camp’, forcing her to change bedrooms at night and to deal with the loss of his daily presence in her life. She let’s us know she need attention in some not-so-sublte ways….

  1. I can loan you ten stinky dogs if you need more. Thank goodness none of them are itchy, just dirty.

  2. Well, she’s small, you might have missed her otherwise!

Fortunately I’ve never had to deal with the itchy hot spot thing. Good luck with that!

  3. Baths are on the agenda for this weekend, but don’t tell the fur-girls. We’ll be using Relief Shampoo on Gretchen, and probably Sissy too. These new allergy meds are knocking Sissy for a loop, so I sure hope they work.
