Slogging Along

Anyone out there wondering where the knitting in this knitting blog is, anyway? I know I am! Here’s the thing; although I am knitting a little bit each day, there really isn’t much to say about it, or anything to show you.
I’m still working on the One Row scarf in Malabrigo, it doesn’t look much different than the last photo. Oh, it’s a little longer, for sure. I’ve started the second skein, which has way less green and more black and blue. I should probably have knit both skeins at once alternating yarn each row, but I didn’t. Too bad, soo sad. Not going back now!

The only other item on the needles is a sock that I am test-knitting for a friend. I’m not  doing very well with it. Sigh, I was soo excited to be asked to test-knit something, and I can’t handle it. GRRRRR. My friend, however, is a doll. She has worked with me patiently trying to explain how to handle things. She also sent me another pattern to work instead. Who would do such a thing? I feel incredibly blessed to “know” this lady. Such trust in me, when we’ve never actually met In Real Life. I hope to do better with the new pattern, and look forward to being able to share pics when the time is right.

In the meantime, to distract from lack of knitting content, enjoy this quiz.

You are practical, circumspect, and discreet. Though you are tremendously sensible and allow your head to rule, you have a deep, emotional side that few people often see.

  1. I’ve never swapped back and forth between two skeins supposedly of the same dye lot either. It adds character!

Socks. I used to knit those… I think I need to cast on for some!
