Twas the morning of Christmas and all through the house

Only one creature was stirring, but it wasn’t a mouse.

The mother had woken early by chance,

While the men were still snoring, causing feather’s to dance.

The dogs were all snuggled asleep in their (Daniel’s) bed

While visions of blogging danced in Mom’s head.

So, quickly she flicked on the laptop’s power

And gathered her picture files, she’d have less than an hour!

A week’s worth of knitting, and parties, and such

Condensed for old WordPress, it wouldn’t be much.

Hats for Eric and Phillip; cloths for Bonnie and Pam,

Better knit one for Donna and Stephanie and Bev, or I’ll be in a jam.

Now finish Bill’s scarf, and drive off to the beach (Santa Cruz)

Wow, it looks as if Christmas is almost in reach!

Well before I was finished with blogging the lot, a stirring was heard up above, shucks, ( a lot!)

And down came the first son, then dogs, then one more son,

Oh well, I guess it’s Christmas, so blogging must wait

Till after the feasting and playing are done,

As usual, the clock has won!

I’ll dash away, while wishing you all

A most Merry Christmas, and a very nice haul. (bags of blessings, not perishable stuff)

  1. Very nice! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  2. This is awesome! What a great way to describe your day.
