A Day To Give Thanks

There has been much to be thankful for this year, I’ll try to stick to the highlights. These are in no particular order, just as they come to mind.

I am thankful for:

*  A healthy year for myself and my immediate family

*  New friends, found surprisingly to me, on the web!

*  Total enjoyment, in the form of knitting.

*  The chance to visit a good friend I hadn’t seen in 5 years.

*  The chance to go to Maine, etc, where I had not gone before.

*  A new couple who wish to be friends with dh and I (we’ve been lonely since our other good friends moved to PA a few years back)

* A good Church home and pastor

*  The opportunity to school my child as I think best.

*  The opportunity to visit my brother and my two sons in Hawaii

*  The gift of work that I enjoy

Truly, there is so much more that I am thankful for. I have friends, freedom, enough resources to be well cared for and to be able to help others, and family who love me and whom I love. I wish all of you the same riches I am so blessed with. Life, love, security, and eternity.

Thanksgiving Delights

On Thanksgiving Day we’re thankful for
Our blessings all year through,
For family we dearly love,
For good friends, old and new.

For sun to light and warm our days,
For stars that glow at night,
For trees of green and skies of blue,
And puffy clouds of white.

We’re grateful for our eyes that see
The beauty all around,
For arms to hug, and legs to walk,
And ears to hear each sound.

The list of all we’re grateful for
Would fill a great big book;
Our thankful hearts find new delights
Everywhere we look!
