What Day Is It?

I apologize for the lack of pictures today. I took my laptop in for an installation and it won’t be ready till at least tomorrow. My computer has always used a wireless card which I must slide in and out along the side of the machine, but not for long! Brad is fixing me up with an internal wireless card. No more worries about dropping the thing and breaking it. It should also get better reception than I have been getting lately, which has been spotty and annoying. So, I’m using dh’s laptop and don’t have my photos available.

I’ve gotten very little knitting time this week, but have managed to nearly finish the first 3×3 cable with moss stitch sock and have started (several times to be sure) a scarf for the Red Scarf Project. It seems to me their deadline for scarves is much earlier than last year. I finally settled on a mistake rib pattern, using Lyon’s Wool-ease in a red tweed. I’m knitting it on size 10 1/2 metal looong straights, which I detest. I tried several pattern on a smaller needle size but didn’t like the feel of any of them. The fabric just wasn’t soft enough. I’m going to have to hustle to finish a pair of socks this month. I hope to cast on # 2 of the cable pair tomorrow, but I have to go to a meeting that starts with breakfast and ends after lunch. I’ve been working overtime this week getting all my math classes either up and running, or back on track after my week of vacation. I’ve also been super tired all week: Jet lag if you will. I haven’t even unpacked my suitcase yet. Sigh, that means soon I’ll run out of clothes, and that means laundry. Must escape….give me my knitting, please.
