A Quiet Day

Because my visiting son borrowed the car to go to SanFransisco today, I “had” to stay home. Darn. What was I to do but knit? Housework? Yardwork? No, seriously. I hadn’t touched the Hearts and Stars blanket in weeks, so I thought this was a good opportunity to make some real progress on it. I also got through a disc or two of the audio book I’m currently working on. Dante’s Divine Comedy is too hard to listen to when other’s are around, so again, perfect opportunity. To truly ensure that this was a great day, I got packages in the mail. Yes, packages, plural. And in spite of the fact that neither one contained yarn they were both knit friendly items. I received my own copy of Sensational Knitted Socks, a birthday gift from the youngest son, and a cd of Duets by Tony Bennet and a bunch of other great artists. Many rows of seed stitch were happily completed to the strains of these “American Classics”. Oh, and just in case you wanted to accuse me of sloth, I did do the laundry!

  1. OOh I’m curious to see the Hearts & Stars Blanket. Where is the pattern from?
